Free-writing 1/10/18

In my quest to become a better writer and to crack this writers block, I found a website http://writelight.guru/ that promotes free writing. This is where you write for a set amount of time and just let the words flow. There are several lengths of time to choose from and five different prompts. I tried this today using the five minute timer. When I was finished I realized that I should have edited my writing after the time; fixing spelling and punctuation wasted too much time. Overall I am pleased with my first attempt and look forward to using this more often in the future. Here was my prompt:

What changes in my work do I plan to implement during the next 100 days?

In the next 100 days I plan on becoming a better blogger. I plan to focus more free time into my blog posts and to develop better content. I would like to finish building my blogging website and make it more user friendly. Try to draw more people/readers to the site. After 100 days, I see myself becoming less self conscious about my writing. I can see me finding my work writing voice and becoming comfortable in that said voice. When looking 200 days out, I can see myself and others around me helping me to succeed. At my current point, not many people know that I started a blog let alone have interest in ever beginning one. As I get more posts and content, I plan on letting more people in on my little secret.

Each prompt ends with a quote, this can be used as a closing word or a prompt for additional writing. Here is mine for today:

Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines.
